Busch Dry Screw Vacuum Pumps Atex 100A T4 rated

Cobra Dry Screw 80 - 800 m3/hr Category 1 installation according to directive 94/9/EG (ATEX 100a) depending on version.

Reliable Operation is ensured from a revolutionary new screw profile giving optimum internal compression and low compression temperatures. Negligible thermal expansion of the liquids and solids are easily handled by the pump and automatically drained, thereby substantially reducing corrosion risks.

Economical
Low energy consumption. Also the pump's modular design allows it to operate at any pressure and to handle almost all critical gases.

State of the Art Design
The pump conforms to directive 94/9/EG (ATEX 100a) for gas pumping in Zone 0 at gas temperature T4 (which is less than 135°C). The pump can work at varying temperatures to suit process applications due to the fine control of the working temperature. The pump is available with various sealing systems to suit the customer's application, by using various, easily replaced sealing cartridges.

Principle and Method of Operation

COBRA vacuum pumps contain two dry running screws, synchronized by a gear system. The revolutionary screw profile which conducts the gas from the inlet (1) to the exhaust (2) also compresses it along the length of the screw in order to give an even temperature through to the discharge of the pump. It also enables any entrained liquids to be transported with ease.

Proven bearing and sealing technologies combined with these new design features ensures the most sophisticated pumping system available. The optional temperature control allowing variable temperature ranges inside the working chamber, i.e. specifically high or low temperature limits are not shown in the illustration.
